Notes:  This coin offers a nice study in reverse die cracks and is the first we have seen with this particular pattern.  Many, if not most, coins exhibit the die cracks along the top of the left wing and many also have shorter die cracks across the top of the right wing and into the eagle's head.  But the pattern on this die is different than our others and comes in short breaks.

But of particular note is the die break through the word DOLLAR.  This was the first coin we found with this pattern and helps us identify a different die.

This coin also reveals some surface doubling of the letters HA and F in HALF.  Our other letter doubling often comes in the form of doubling or tripling on the inside of the letters F and DO.
