Notes:  The obverse of this coin might be as close as we can get to a problem free coin.  There is little to no doubling and the die does not appear to have been repolished.  The detail is excellent with a nearly complete bridle and much of Lee's coat showing detail toward the bottom.  Lee's leg, glove, and hat show excellent detail also.  There are no obverse die cracks.

The reverse of the coin is also very nice with 34 stars countable, although some are faint or partial.  The die is rotated indicating the die was loose in the coin press.  There is a long die crack on the eagle's left wing.  There is some doubling along the bottom with F DO doubled on the inside top, the two L's in DOLLAR, and the TE in UNITED.  The doubling in F DO is definitely on the die, but the other two need further investigation to see if they are production related or on the die.
