From the John Whitney Walker Collection

Notes:  John Whitney Walker was a legendary collector who was well known in coin circles.  He passed away in 2018 and we are glad we were able to obtain one of the coins from his collection.

This coin is solid for the grade and has good detail on both the obverse and reverse.  The coin has some doubling and a unique die crack on the word LIBERTY on the reverse.  This same or similar die crack is seen on coin 35353230 but without the doubling.

The obverse has a very slight doubling of the 25 in the date, but it is so slight we hesitate to designate this one as a DDO.

The one criticism we might level at the coin is that there is a deep gouge from some foreign object at the O in OF on the reverse.  Whatever hit it took out a chunk of metal.
