Notes:  We label this coin as a DDO example, but it is not the one commonly classified.  There is some doubling of the head of both horses toward the rim, and there is some minor doubling of the date.  More importantly there is what appears to be the 9/5 feature in the date that has yet to be proven and could be die gouges.

Both the obverse and reverse have die cracks, with the obverse cracks being more pronounced.

There is some attractive color on the obverse at the top of the coin.  This color is early toning and not as broad as we like to see to classify a coin as truly toned.  But Stone Mountain halves rarely have that type toning.
