Notes:  At this grade things start to flatten and lose a lot of detail, and that is precisely what we see on this coin.  Lee's left leg and coat are not quite flat but the detail is gone.  The horses show definition but not detail.  Jackson's coat and face are also flattening.

The reverse still shows a quality strike with 30 stars still visible in some form.  Detail on the eagle is also losing definition with the high points on the breast and left wing completely flat.  The memorial phrase and word LIBERTY are also losing detail.  Lettering at the rims, and the rims themselves are intact.
