Notes:  The dominant feature on this coin is obviously the deeply toned reverse, and we think this gave the graders a reason to boost it a little.  The color is just dark enough to make the eagle's feathers and other detail stand out.  The deep colors are indicative of late stage film accumulation where you see black, deep purple, deep green, and deep blue.  There is an area just under the eagle's neck where all the colors come together in one spot and this helps with the identification.

The obverse die has been roughly repolished and it shows in almost all areas of the coin.  In particular the areas around Lee and Jackson are filled with lines.  Then there is a pattern of lines at Traveler's leg where there is almost a crosshatch of lines that may prove of particular help in identifying this die.

The date is doubled, but not strongly.
